Color-Block Cami Dress Sewing Pattern

Cut the front and back pieces twice, mirroring each side. Cut the strap twice, and use the same pattern to make the tie belt. The recommended length for the belt is 6.5~8ft (2~2.5m). If you prefer a single-color dress, skip the center front and back seams and cut both patterns on the fold. If using lining, cut another set of the front and back pieces, shortening the length by 1.5 to 2 inches (4 to 5 centimeters).

Sew the darts on the front pieces. Then, stitch together the front and back pieces along the center seams.

Make the straps and belt. Refer to the sewing guide for detailed instructions on making the straps. If you're using lining, secure the straps to the front and back of the dress. 

Sew the dress along the side seams. Overlock or zigzag the seams. If you're working with lining, stitch the lining to the dress, ensuring the fabric's right sides face each other. Turn the dress right side out and press with an iron. If you're not using lining, finish the top edges of the dress by folding them under by ¼ inch (0.5 cm) twice. Attach the straps. 

Finish the hem of the dress.
